Hi, thank you for visiting my list of stories. You'll find a bunch more of my "tales of woe" under my other by-line "The Wanderer".
For those of you who are unaware, I'm an M.E. sufferer who writes to stop himself from going completely bunkers. Some say, that I've gone "stark raving mad," but who gives a monkeys uncle?
Anyway, read and hopefully enjoy. But don't take anything you read here too seriously, I know I don't!
Whether you like what you read or not, please don't forget to vote. And, I do appreciate it when readers drop me the odd line to let me know their... er, reactions, to my demented diatribes. Breaks the old monotony a little as well!
Arriving at Naples airport, a guy – with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder -- unexpectedly runs into and old adversary, who has a little problem. The adversary needs help, so the guy decides to offer his assistance. But he intends that he will have a little fun -- and get some payback -- at the same time. But things don’t really turn out as he expected.
The Carpenter Files
Dan Elks is a drunk, who is going through life carrying a big chip on his shoulder. But then, some folks would probably think he had ample justification for doing so.
Our hero wakes one morning to discover that his life is about to change in ways he could never imagine. A little 1950's time travel fun I wrote a couple of years back.
Another little wander through realms of improbability concerning a confused young man and his interactions with one particular member of female of our species. Of course it is possible that the young lady in question, had just came up with a novel approach to solving the problem of not being noticed by her intended prey!
His one time best mate Bill, asks Barry to act as his Best Man. What Barry doesn't know, is that someone has plans to bring a little chaos to the proceedings.
A short tale very loosely based on a personal encounter I had myself in that fair city one summer, about ten or fifteen years ago; okay maybe a little longer. Only my encounter had a completely different outcome.
Another short story about bar room confrontation. This is a tale about what happened in one particular bar, on one particular evening. Consequently as always, what was to happen after that night is anybody's guess. Although, I might be tempted to leave a little clue or two at the end, as to how I think it will go.
