1: In His Arms Instead by woodmanone The twist Woody used in this short yarn, is one of my favorite scenarios. But I know it is extremely difficult to write successfully. It's far too easy to give the game away too soon (before the reader has become... emotional enough).
I know because I've made several attempts at using this same misdirection myself. Unfortunately none of which passed muster.
