I am a sixty-five year old avid reader of many types of fiction. My earliest favorite authors were as diverse as Zane Grey and Jim Corbett, Dorothy Sayers, and H.G. Wells.
Bunkers in Vietnam and remote mountain peaks in Alaska have served as my reading rooms. I have enjoyed most of what I have read in them.
I will be submitting my own works here and enjoying reviewing and promoting stories of other writers I enjoy for the foreseeable future.
Jim Horn survived the war for Southern Independence, and learned many hard lessons from the experience that helped when he accepted a job as a Texas Ranger. Premier members only

Okay. That, and a first chapter was my answer to a writer friends question. He'd liked what he'd read of my western, and suggested the biker lifestyle had been largely neglected in fiction. I agree. Premier members only

This is a short story. I had fun writing this one. The story was written tongue in cheek, and to make fun of people who write about kidnapping young girls or otherwise taking liberties with girls at random. Premier members only
