Hey Mom, I'm Home!
Chapter 2

“Hey Mom, I’m Home!” (It’s Jim again)

“Mom left, I’m in charge!” (My sister Nancy, 17, stacked, 5ft6)

“Can you help me with a lesson from my drama class?” I asked.

“Probably, what’s in it for me?”

“Exactly what I thought you would say. My best friend gave me two tickets to go see Blake Shelton. They are yours, if you help me,” I said putting them in my shirt pocket.

“What do I have to do?”

“Go on a date with me!”

“Hell no!”

“All right, I think Rita from across the street will go. I’m gonna go over there and ask her?” I said.

I turned and she grabbed my shirt, holding me back. “Tell me more about this ‘date thing,’” she said pulling me back to her.

“Well, I have to write things down as they happen. It’s taking a date and breaking it down into its different elements. Asking a girl, or guy. How do they accept, what do you wear, how do you go there, where do you go, is there a sexual element, what happens during the date? Is it what you expect?”

“Wait a minute, did you say something about a sexual element. What the fuck does that even mean?”

“Oh, things like how does your date make you feel when you ask then out, take them out and come back home.”

“That’s pretty heavy for a sophomore theatre drama class. I thought you had a girlfriend,” Nancy asked.

“I thought I did too, but apparently I missed her telling me that we’ve broken up. She’s dating a college student now,” I said embarrassed over the whole thing.

“I guess I can go with you. What about sex?”

“What do you mean?”

“If you are a nice guy on our date, would you expect kissing and stuff?”

“Only if you would on a regular date anyway. I’m just talking about going to a movie together, maybe holding hands if that wouldn’t freak you out too much.”

“And if I do all of this for you, you will give me both Blake Shelton tickets?”

“Sure will, sis. Let’s shake on it?” I said putting my hand out to her. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into her and gave me a nice kiss. “That’s how you seal a deal. When do we do all of this stuff, anyway?”

“After dinner tonight, go up to your room, and wait for my knock, please,” I proposed.

“I can do that. Take care little brother!”

“Thank you, Nancy, this is very sweet of you. I love you!”

“Save it for later Jimmy-Boy!”

(This is all made up. There is no school drama class dating event. I bought the tickets online over a month ago. I just want a chance to kiss and feel up my sister for one night.)

After dinner and changing clothes, I knocked on her door, waiting for her.

“Who is it?”

“Jim ... James Hamden, may I come it?”

“Certainly James,” my sister said playing my game with me.

“Excuse me, but I’ve been wanting to get you alone to talk to you. Do you have a minute?”

“Yes. Please sit on the bed.”

“Are you sure that’s all right?”

She giggled again. “James, what is it?”

“Well, we have a few classes together, and I’ve been wanting to find out if you would like to go out some time soon?”

She broke into a really pretty smile and answered, putting her hand on mine, “James, I’ve noticed you too. I’ve been hoping you would come over and ask me out. Do you have anything in mind?”

“Gosh, I have tickets to a concert, but I promised them to my older sister. You might know her. Her name is Nancy. She’s not nearly as pretty as you are.”

A complete transformation seemed to wash over her. She took my hand and said, “Maybe, I can get her to let us see that concert. Would that be OK with you?”

Her lips looked to pucker and I didn’t want to blow this by moving too quickly.

“That would be great. She thinks I’m a dweeb. I guess all older sisters think that of their little brothers,” I said getting ready to leave.

“I will ask her only if you will do one thing for me right now?”

“Gosh, what is that?”

“Kiss me,” she said getting quiet.

She put out her hands and took mine and pulled me close to her, “James, although this is the first time we have talked much, I feel something between us ... do you feel it?”

“I think I do,” I said not able to think this through quickly enough and she put her lips on mine. Oh, that feels so good. It seemed interminable, but I pulled away and said, “Let me know what you find out. I would rather go with you, but I sure don’t want to make my sister upset. See you later?” I said giving her a soft kiss as I left through her door.

I heard through the closed door, “Oh, James!”

Thirty minutes later, there was a knock on my door?

“Who is it?”

“Gloria,” my sister’s voice said. That was her middle name.

I got up, checked my breath and my hair for some reason and opened the door.

She had dolled herself up, changed into a dress and everything.

“Come in, Gloria. I didn’t expect you so soon, have a seat.”

She sat down right next to me and said, “James, I talked to Nancy and she decided that she had been a bit of a bitch to you. She said that we could go to the Blake Shelton Concert together, if you still want me to.”

She was leaning on my shoulder. I put my arm around her and I heard her give out a sigh. “I could really fall in love with you James,” came from those beautiful lips.

“Gloria, I’m not supposed to have a girl in my room with the door closed. I don’t want to ruin your reputation.”

She stayed just like she was. I turned towards her and our lips aligned. This was a kiss like I had never had before, I don’t know about my sister. I’m falling in love with my own sister.

After about five minutes of making out, I separated us and said, “You’d better go. I think I love you ... Nancy!”

Her eyes got really big and she said, “I feel the same way Jimmy.”

We kissed one last time and she walked out of my room.
