Chapter 19

"Jenny, I think we both need to talk to Jess, I want you to understand two things before we do though, firstly I love Jess but I'm not in love with her, secondly I love you very deeply and I am in love with you, but you are my sister and you are under age, a recipe for disaster if we are not careful."

I suddenly found myself with a nearly sixteen year old step sister in my lap, her arms around my neck, tears in her eyes and smothering me with kisses. "Oh Jimmy I've waited so long to hear you say that, I knew that you cared for me but to know that you love me is more than I ever dared to think, I love you ... I love you." ... Then. "What the hell did you do to me, you were in my head ... how did you do that?"

"Jen, will you bear with me on this for a while, I think that we should sit down with Jess and I'll try to explain a few things, OK?"

"Right, but I want honest answers from both of you, understand?"

"Uhh, I think we are attracting attention Jen, maybe we should go back to the store."

"Don't dodge it Jimmy, honest answers OK?"

"Ok Jen, honest answers."

We went back into the store and I told Jen that I wanted to talk to Jess alone for a few minutes.

Jess raised her eyebrows as we entered the store, Jen walked on through to the hardware section.

"What was all that about Jimmy?"

"Jen sprung us in bed last night, the three of us need to sit down and have a talk, there are a few things I need to come clean on so it will be an interesting discussion."

"OK let's get this out of the way, call Jen and we'll go home and talk."

I called Jen and we got in the car and Jess took us home. The trip was very quiet, all of us deep in our own thoughts.

When we arrived home I put the kettle on for a cuppa while Jen and Jess got the cups and some biscuits. Once we were settled and a cup of tea in hand I spoke.

"I think I should fess up first, there are a lot of things that are happening in Jimmy's head. Firstly I don't think I am Jimmy." They both gasped, I held up my hand and continued. "When I received the blow to my head I think the old Jimmy died, who am I? I don't have the faintest idea. Some of the weird things that happened to me are nearly unbelievable, I have the ability to move very fast, but this ability only appears in an emergency situation, I gain extra strength with this 'speed' I surmise that this strength is the speed factor delivering the energy in a shorter timeframe."

"Jen, I got inside your head this morning because I knew you were hurting, I've known all along of your love for me and I don't think that this is a childish crush, how? One of the other weird things I can do is to probe some ones mind. I have been very guilty of probing both of yours, what I find is kindness and love, you are both people I am proud to love, this morning Jen your negative thoughts toward me set up a barrier and I couldn't read what you were feeling. In desperation I blasted you with my full power to let you know I love you dearly, I never want to hurt either of you."
