Red circle

In the forum section I have seen a red circle with a slash what does it mean?
Thanks

If you click on it you will no longer see posts from that member. It adds them to your ignore list. Careful, it is permanent!

Careful, it is permanent!

Does it give a warning message or does it just enable without giving a chance to reconsider. The older I get the more my hands shake and I wouldn't want to ignore someone by accident.

@garymrssn

No warning message.

I have shaky hands and did it to one of my favorite authors. I explained what happened to Lazeez and he was able to reverse it.

This feature was a bad idea in my opinion and should be removed. Go to your account's author exclusion page and follow directions. You have the option of redisplaying the author in lists.

it was more than necessary to remove the noise produced by a particular poster.
It made a huge improvement to the site.

A "This is irreversible, are you sure?" prompt if someone clicks on it would solve the accidental clicking issue.

Go to your account's author exclusion page and follow directions. You have the option of redisplaying the author in lists.

For Premium members only.
And does it work in the forum? And even if it does, if the problem poster wasn't an author, how would you block their noise?
