I posted a request in the recommendation section that after the ID is a red circle with a slash. I think think that it means reply's are blocked, did I invertently break a rule or hit a wrong key.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I think that red circle with the line next to an id is there to allow people to block that id (not that it is blocked). But I haven't blocked anyone so I'm not sure.

If you hoover over it, it says, "add user to ignore list." I remember from somewhere that if you click on it that it is permanent. Click with care. Though there are some I have considered blocking.

If you decide to block an author, use your account's author exclusion page. You can always unblock the author if you change your mind.

The red circle with a slash was a bad idea in my opinion.

@REP

I had the impression the red circle is only for forum posts, nothing to do with blocking authors from story feeds or searches which is what the account options are about.

@Switch Blayde

I did it accidentally. You are right. There is no way for you to unblock the author.

I can confirm that it does indeed do what it says on the tin! And I have never looked back.... LOL
