Archived Emails are deleted after a year.
I have had a number of instances where it would be advantageous for me to access a deleted email. Individually downloading each email to my computer, as I receive it, would be time consuming.
What I would like to see is a download function added to the archive page with the ability to specify a date range of the emails to be downloaded.
I'd like to second that. Although I haven't used the archive facility in earnest, there are several now expired e-mails that I wish I could somehow how saved for posterity because they contained useful information.

I'd just assumed that that was 'part of the service' but I don't send that many messages. Good to know it will be an option 'in the future'.
How hard would it be to 'mail' it to the traditional e-mail of the name holder? It's been way to long since I sent mail manually over a pine account or similar.
All of the reader/author communication was by email until early June 2017, which was when the current system went online.

Big part of this change is the privacy of both authors and readers. Having a switch at the disposal of the author that can simply circumvent such protection negates the whole system.
I can tell you now without hesitation that emails containing full addresses like before will never happen. The most that's going to be is what I deployed today. You'll get copies, but you can't reply using your email client.
That policy would not obstruct what you are suggesting.
