Quick search and score dialogue boxes missing in Firefox for Android.

I just updated Firefox for Android and a couple of SOL functions are now borked. When scoring a story the boxes for the drop down menu and the aggregate score are now missing. The menu and score are still there in small (default?) type.

The quick search function on the main page is also missing its dialogue box. Clicking on 'quick search' does nothing, its text, not a link. There is a blank space beside that to the right, same color as the background, which if clicked on will accept a search term. To the right of that in small type is 'search' which is not a link.

that's going to be hard to fix.

I don't have an android phone to install firefox on it.

Although, I don't know what to fix. The html and the css is very standard and valid.

I'll see if I can borrow something.

I can't confirm this - on Android with the most recent Firefox update having been (allegedly) 4th October - that surprises me, I thought it was more recent than that.
Google Play is lying, About Firefox says 118.2.0 and a datestamp of 2023-10-09T22:15:30.xxxxxxxxx
GV: 118.0.2-20231009140911.
Mutually contradictory and rather weird.

Anyway, back to the problem,

If I want to vote on a story I click on "Select Score" and am offered 10 options for a score of 1-10.
It's a similar story with Quick Search on the main page, the box accepts text.

I get a down chevron and clicking on that brings up the list of scores. No dialogue box though.

In my case I see "Select Score" on one line, below it are a to j - with their associated texts - each on one line.
Each of those 1+10 lines has a little circle to its right and I can select one to vote. I tried selecting the top one (Select Score) and got "Error! Invalid vote value", at *that* point I can no longer vote on the story from that device.
Not that I really care, my previous vote for that story is still valid (I checked from my PC).

That's a bug in validateVote, it shouldn't attempt to submit a vote of 0
Also the option Select Score shouldn't be allowed to be selected

I would code that defensively like this:
|select required ... |
|option value="" disabled|Select Score|/option|
...

Bug fixed for the 'Select Score' menu item.

I can't disable it, as many browsers refuse to display the disabled item as initial value and default to the first non-disabled value (you call this a story). I tried, had a lot of issues.

I fixed the bug that threw 'invalid value'. It was introduced a while ago as I was refactoring and tightening code.

Updated Firefox again and both issues are resolved.
