My people are explorers that have crossed galaxies searching for emerging sentient species. Whenever we find one, we seed their planet with special crystals specifically tailored to their genetic code structure. Thousands of these crystals were seeded on your world millennia ago. And you have found one!
These crystals, which we call tralvium crystals, bond with their bearers and assist the evolution of their species.
This is done through increasing intelligence, creativity, physical enhancements and potentially a lot more. The majority of the major advancements your species has made throughout history has been courtesy of a tralvium crystal bearer. And now you have joined their ranks!
This is an incredible responsibility as the gifts the crystals provide can easily be abused or misused. So be aware if you encounter other crystal bearers that they may misuse their gifts.
As I said before, thousands of crystals were seeded on your planet. But each crystal can only bond once and will disintegrate with the death of their bearer. Also, while the bondings all result in increased mental and/or physical enhancements, the enhancements are not all the same. So much depends on the specific genetic code of the bearer and how the quantum energy of the crystal mutates it during the bonding. Also, while unlikely, it may occur that you get the opportunity to be a multiple bond bearer. Be warned if that happens that members of your species CANNOT handle more than 3 bondings.
We have stationed a watcher to monitor your species and the crystal bearers. As soon as a new bonding occurs, the watcher will present this message in whatever common form is in use at the time in the language of the bearer. This is done to educate the bearers to their new responsibility towards their species. However, this is the only time the watcher will ever interact with your species. It will NEVER interfere otherwise.
