Am I missing something or is there no search function for Forum. If not it seems like a good idea to me.
It is unclear what you want to search for within the Forum. There are search facilities on the home page for story types and for authors and, if you know it, a story name.
These can be limited if you do not subscribe but that is your choice. However, you can't (so far as I am aware) search for something within individual stories.
One possibility is to use Google search in case story names include what you want or to expand story type searches.

It didn't occur to you that someone might want to search the forum for forum comments within the forum?
If I could find the forum exchange about the meaning of 'beard', I could add a comment about the usage in the latest OSL story (Ben being called Adrienne's beard).

Of course, when they put it down between two people sitting beside each other it becomes a pint of contention while they argue over who's it is.
