This is just a part of a longer story.
I think the trip was part of a honeymoon type trip.
MC meets some extended family that has an idea to buy a trucking company and/or a warehouse. MC thinks it is a good idea and makes a loan/buy shares in the company.
There might a similar happening with a mall with other family members. I think the loans/buying of shares works out, with everyone making money.
I think the extended family might be of Mexican/Spanish descent.
This is a small part of a long story, maybe a few chapters near the middle.
Forget how the MC has the money for this, but MC is not foolish if the money can be use for good people.
