Guy Shunned for talking to girl everyone thinks is the class slut

Hello Everyone. I don't have much to go on.

I believe this was in a highschool harem type story. I believe the main scene Im recalling took place in a lunch room.

The Male MC ends up talking with and or taking the "school slut", i think she was rumored to take money for sex, on a date and his friends group shuns him. He finds out not only is she not a slut but a good person.

In the end I think the friend group apologizes and "adopts" the girl.

Sorry its not much to go on, but its been in my head for a few days and I have not been able to get more details.

I believe that this happen in one of the books of G. Younger Stupid Boy.

Either the sophomore or junior year sections. My best guess is Winter or Spring of SB junior year, as she winds up hooking up with Yuri before Yuri's junior football season, and Yuri was a year behind David Dawson (MC). Somehow I think I've seen that scenario in a story by another author, as well. Can't for the life of me recall where, though.

It's a plot point in Stupid Boy. She is the girl everyone thinks is a slut (Lisa Felton) and something like a third cousin to him. He finds out the truth about her when eating pie at a diner close to the hospital where his Mom is going for her follow up tests from the cancer.

I remember reading similar circumstances in other stories as well though.
