So I recently found that after five years of no update on the author, their stories will go to archive, which made their stories a member only -- which you need to be premier account. I didn't know this and because of that, I can't read (reread) the New Past by Charlie Foxtrot. Not really a lost story forum but does anyone have a downloaded epub of the New Past? If it is not illegal, that is.

The period-of-inactivity was originally five years but has since been reduced to three. That change did not happen all at once but I think it has been complete for a while.
While Lazeez (our host) will make all of an author's stories premiere, an author can make individual stories premiere.
Yes i know that but it just doesn't make any sense to me to make 1 out of 11 stories premiere. If you want to attract readers to your writing, making your best story premiere isn't going to help your cause.

Well I'm pretty sure no one is going to pay for a premiere membership to read 1 story.
Maybe not, but if there are enough stories by different authors that a person wants that might be a enough.
However, in this case it's worth noting that Charlie Foxtrot has two stories for sale on Bookapy: Families of the Empire, book 1 and A New Past (complete trilogy).
So, you can buy the book outright or you can get it as part of premiere. The later gives Charlie Foxtrot less money personally, but potentially drives more people to keep the site funded.

Keeping the sit funded is my main impetus for purchasing premiere, that and payback for all those years I used the site for free.

I am so sorry that this story has gone "Premiere". It is one of my 'go to' stories when I'm feeling down and upset with the world. I'm to cheap to get a membership, even for a month. I hope the author or Lazeez will change this great story back so the general public can once again enjoy it and look to a brighter future. (we need it as the next election comes closer)

It would have to be the author. I didn't do it and it's not my place to force the author to give away their story for free. It is for sale on Bookapy.
IT's a great story and while in itself it's not enough to go Premier, this site is very worth your support. The vast amount of stories available is only possible because we all support it if we can.
This site is definitely worth supporting but when you're on a fixed income sometimes it's a luxury you can't afford. I don't eat out, shop the markdown sections of grocery stores and buy most of my clothes secondhand. It's a shame how little someone who worked for 40 years gets compensated they become disabled.
