Publishing Platforms

CE Savage 🚫

I'm thinking of expanding my reach a little by submitting my stories either to Kindle or one of the other platforms. I've seen Kobo and Lulu mentioned as as well as Smashwords. Does anyone have an experience with this? I like Bookapy but I desperately need to generate a little more income or I'll have to curtail my writing. Thanks everyone!

No one has any input on this? Sorry maybe I shouldn't have asked.

The problem is... I really don't.

My books are exclusively on Bookapy, because, as far as I can tell, and that impression is enhanced by other people I talked with about this, Bookapy in combination with SOL is THE best way to promote what you have to sell.

Take Draft2Digital for example. They, as an aggregator, offer to sell your books on multiple platforms at once. But if nobody knows about you on those platforms, your books will just vanish in the hundreds of submissions they have each week. You can just as well post your stories to Amazon and HOPE someone will notice.

Your problem isn't where to sell... but how to get people to buy.

I publish on Amazon KDP as well as Bookapy (except when the novel violates KDP's policies and then only on Bookapy).

Even though I have sales on KDP, it's hard to be noticed there. You're buried in tens of millions of books.
