Getting old sucks. I remember reading a story hopefully on this site but can't remember the story name or author. I'm hoping my brain isn't combining stories.
Male character is late teens or early 20s and meets a neighbor at new house he's moved to. Female main character (probably under age at the time) was sneaking into his pool at night and convinced him she's a vampire. They have sex and she comes clean. Seems like she's a super genius that's living alone and teaching classes online (?).
Story goes through various ups and downs as they become a couple and grow old together. Seems like there's a crystal castle she is gifted from an amusement park stay that she focuses on in her last days. It's one of the few stories I remember that made me stop, think and remember my deceased wife.
My limited search skills have where I can't find it or anything close. I'm hoping it wasn't removed or put behind a paywall somewhere else. If anyone can help me with finding this it'd be much appreciated.
