In other words, the chats are being sent to the major LLMs, albeit anonymized:
• Anonymized by DuckDuckGo
Your prompts are relayed through DuckDuckGo servers and stripped of personally identifiable metadata, so model providers can't tie your conversations back to you.
• Zero data retention for this chat
This model provider does not store any data associated with this chat. Other model providers follow a limited data retention model.
• No AI training
All model providers are prevented from training their AI on your conversations.
An important note — even if your prompts are anonymized, it only takes a few data points to identify you. You're still at the mercy of the LLMs and their Terms of Service.
If you want truly secure AI, run LM Studio or something similar, along with an open-source LLM on your computer. I've tested LM Studio with DeepSeek and confirmed no network connections of any kind are made except for the original download. You can turn off WiFi, and it will still work.
