I've always enjoyed the written side of porn and about 10 years ago I found SOL. While trolling through the authors who were covering my particular kinks, I chanced upon OldBoy (his real name was Bob), a lover of young thingees, as was I. I wrote to him, he replied and we began communicating with one another on a regular basis and, over time, we became good friends, albeit cyber. Our discussions ranged far a field and we discovered we had common interests in politics, finance, religion, sports, business, the general human condition and of course, in porn. He encouraged me to write stories of my own and while they were never really very good, I did have a lot of fun writing White Panties stories. (He didn't think much of the name White Panties but that was one of our few disagreements.)
We used one another as sounding boards and while this may or may not have made for better stories, it was great having someone to bounce ideas off of. He was always positive and encouraging and found something nice to say about even my worst submissions.
As a contributor to these pages, Bob was especially prolific in 2007/08, posting roughly 80 stories, which have been downloaded half a million times by his ardent followers. His stories were generally well received, most of which earned scores in the mid 6's.
Unfortunately, Bob got really sick in 2014, with an especially virulent form of diabetes that sapped his strength and our daily chats became fewer and fewer until last summer, when I stopped hearing from him altogether. I kept trying to reach him and only recently found out that sadly, he passed away that July.
Bob had a good heart, he was easy to find humor and had something nice to say about everyone. He leaves behind an ex wife and her daughter, neither of whom he had very much to say about, although he did blame himself for their troubles. He may have only been a cyber friend but I do feel a sense of loss at his passing.
As an SOL sidelight, while OldBoy begat White Panties, White Panties begat a beguiling young woman named Chandra. She began communicating with me and like Bob did with me, I encouraged her to write and for several years she added a sexy chaos to SOL with her stories and her blogs. I lost track of her, too. And the beat goes on.
