Thanks to my great partner in large-format audio crime, and a lot of research and study in the web, my HP--It's ALIVE! By removing the battery, then holding down the start button for 35 seconds, plugging in the power transformer and not putting the battery back, the computer started up. After running some diagnostics, everything seems to be good; for an HP that is. I'm sending off the next chapter to proofreaders later today; after I read through the chapter one last time due to a muse-wave that came over me in the last few days.
