Short vacation.

Well, it was a vacation if you consider minimum sleep and a lot of winding winches and pulling on ropes a vacation! My son needed to move his ketch Birubi from Maldon to a boat yard at Walton-on-the-Naze, where she is to have her bottom sand-blasted and primed before she's painted with some horribly expensive incredibly durable epoxy paint and Coppercoat anti-fouling. It was fun, despite getting quite queasy with the motion on the run in the Wallet. Not to mention getting ashore downstream of Pin Mill Saturday night, squelching ashore through deep sticky mud. Worth it for the Suffolk sausages and cider. Cider, that is, the fermented juice of apples, not a soft drink. Add to that the round trip totaling 360 miles on my new bike (Oscar).
So that's why I didn't get much writing done over the last week. I'm still working on chapter 11 of the third Devastation Diary and there's a long way to go with that story before I can post it.
