I hope you've had a good weekend. Here is chapter 26. It's a doozy. I would like some constructive criticism and feedback on this chapter as I have been testing some different approaches to immerse the reader in the story. Let me know what you think.
I am not interested in comments that say the chapter is too short. The length of an average chapter for this story runs around 1500 words. I have limited time to devote to this project and the only way I can consistently increase the length is to change the posting schedule to biweekly. My fans have asked that I not do that.
Why are the chapters so short, you ask? I type at 24 words per minute. a 1500 word post takes a little over a hour to type. That does not include revision, editing and spell checking, ect. I am also considerate of my editor's time as well. They have things to do themselves. So around 1500 words it stays.
