In reply to some anon feedback I received. The English way of spelling it is indeed officially 'paedophile', although many don't bother to write it that way (not that very many people have need to write the word anyway), and they would often go with the Americanised 'pedophile'. In this age of dumbing down, more often than not people will say it or write it as simply 'pedo', whether they be English or American.
As a Brit, this is my take on it, but I am happy to stand corrected.
