A completed story!

Finally, after so many misfires and dry-ups. 'It Came and Chose Her' will not be to everyone's taste, but it's there and it has a beginning middle and end! Perhaps I've found my voice at last, and I want to give some credit to Mat Twassel for his tongue-in-cheek little offerings and fine drawings, one of which partly inspired this. A cruel edge, perhaps, but I hope to counterbalance this stuff with some nicies.

No such thing as perfection of course, but she will do nicely for my lusty guy of the 22nd century. The girl, 20yo, has now been created in form but not yet character. She will need a name too, so any suggestions welcome.

Tough-going, my new chapter on 'Numbers' - gave me a damn headache! Chapter 3 was much more fun!

I expected to be slaughtered, but 6.51 so far - I'll take that, and it's incentive enough to continue the series! Or 'serial'; I'm still getting my head around that. Even though I'm pitching it firmly inside the 14-and-no-lower guideline, I did weigh in with a chapter exactly on that limit, in graphic (not in the illustrated sense) fashion. I expected that would sit uncomfortably with many. Also, my structure and language may seem quirkly. Just to elucidate on that, for those who may read on...
The premise is that in a few decades here on Earth, we discover (the Prologue) written documentation of an alien civilization (who are 'human', as good as). These are the Annals, so-called, written by that civilization itself as a record of their evolution, beliefs and ways, especially sexual ways. It's a kind of Bible, complete with their true-life tales which often read just like a short story (many individual chapters can be dipped into simply as that, but the backstory helps - Genesis and the Prologue would be more than enough to give that). I've made the language sound a btit formal and archaic, stiff even at times, to reflect the fact it's (supposedly) written as a cultural/spiritual testament. I hope that makes sense.
