With 475 stories of this 500 story block either completed or updated recently, I only have 25 stories to address with updates. One of the recent submissions was a strange story called "Old Soldiers Never Die" I started it in 2014 and am on chapter 10 as of this writing. My age precludes a lengthy ending and I view it as probably a 12 chapter story. I use the adjective "strange" because it is about a German soldier called Karl Steiner. My father passed during WWII and my mother served as a female MP handling POWs at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. In my early military career, I spent two years in the iron barred basement of a former SS Regiment repairing and caring for small arms for our border patrol of the East German border. Our tanks would cover the Fulda Gap practicing retrograde moments because we were outnumbered 20 to 1 by the opposing Russian tanks only a short distance away. I always discerned a difference between the members of the Nazi party and the rank and file of the German Wehrmacht and even some of the Wehrmacht soldiers were tagged with Nazi party membership just by their military occupation like ordinary tank crew members or snipers. I have no liking of Nazi thoughts and I have a deep seated revulsion of Hitler's program of genocide against the Jewish people.

Just submitted chapter 3 to this story. In actuality, it is just unfolding with the introduction of the main character. It is one of those stories that attracted a number of low grades from certain parties who probably didn't even take the time to read it. I think that there are cliques that look for codes they object to and put 1 or 2 on a story to depress the grade. I know that I have been remiss in updating stories but still do my best to catch up. My estimate is that this story will take about 20 to 25 chapters to conclude. I hope to have first 8 chapters completed by the end of April and have a better idea as to the total length.

Just submitted the concluding chapter 5 of this story. This story is heavily sexual in nature. The scenario is in the diplomatic entourage of British Empire building with bored diplomatic wives and randy diplomats forgetting their home based norms of behavior in society in foreign lands in ways not approved by the Foreign Office.

I wrote this short story at the beginning of my writing efforts back in 2014. I always thought it was an underappreciated story because the nuances of character development overrode the erotic element. The Japanese officers and guards live in their own little world of divine destiny and the white female prisoners have their own world of survival at all costs. I recommend it to serious readers looking for more than a stroke story to quell their desire for a good read.

The original account of 500 stories as of March 8, 2022 shows 38 stories in need of updating. They should all be updated in the next 30 days. The actual total of unfinished stories out of the 500 is now down to 61. That should be less than 50 in the next 30 days. I expect the unfinished story total to be 10 or less by the end of 2022. That means that 98% of the stories will be in the completed column. the Harry Lime 2nd Edition account is fully completed and each story entered will be a stand alone story and that account will always be 100% complete. The remaining 18 pen names will be updated as quickly as possible to put them all in the 100% completed status. No new content will be submitted until that goal is finished.
