Another Time and Another Place???
This story is frozen for the near future. I had several readers ask after the story. The issue is a small number of people complained about the railroad portion of the story. They wanted the railroad content completely deleted. A full half of the story is about Frederick and the railroad. That portion alone took six months to write.
No matter what I do, I can't make myself eviscerate what I wrote. It was my baby. I literally don't know what to replace it with. I have tried for a while, I just can't figure it out. So, it sits languishing until I figure it out and get back to it.
I know the complainers were fundamentally wrong. I often get odd emails. "God will get you." Then there are the hard core grammar nazi's that don't understand there are four main branches to English; 'Mercan, Brit, Auzi/New Zealand and Indian.
I do take grammar serious, but the more esoteric gripes pass by 99.8 percent of readers. I don't see what I write as high literature, so I don't obsess over it.
I do not write so that a hundred years from now, my prose will end up on Gutenberg.
