At the suggestion of Postscriptor, I have added a Postscript to chapter 12. It completes the story and tidies up some loose ends. My thanks to an accomplished fellow author for his suggestion.

Okay, I think I've fixed most of the obvious errors in this story, not the least of which were the details surrounding the bacterial meningitis contracted by Mike. Thanks to the sharp-eye'd readers, a couple of other typos were exposed and I fixed them as well.
If I'm wrong, I know I'll hear about it.

A knowledgeable reader has reminded me that viral infections are not treated with antibiotics. I had stupidly transposed viral meningitis symptoms and treatment with bacterial meningitis. I'm in the process or rewriting Ch. 9-10 of Granite Giant to correct this error. I hope I get it right this time.

I have a fresh new enemy. The guy who decided to change Yahoo mail and screw it up is on my hate list. As a consequence of his cleverness, I am losing incoming emails and not able to find them. I apologize to all you who have written me to make comments (almost all favorable) on my stories. I try to answer every one of them, but currently, I know I'm missing some and I can't seem to put a stop to it. If it continues and yahoo doesn't fix the problem, I will be changing mail servers and I will announce the new address here, explaining in clear language just what I think of these Microsoft trained idiots who think change for the sake of change is a good idea. A pox on them,
