May

I have sent the story to be posted.

As I said in the comments, this is a short, but VERY DARK story about a young woman recovering after a very bad auto accident.

I have had this story on hold for several years now. I woke up one morning with it in my head and quickly wrote it out. I have had several people look at it, and asked them if I should post it.

Some said to NOT post it, and others said to go ahead and post it. I leave it to you the readers to decide if you like it or not. It is a bit disturbing.

Please let me know how you feel about the story.

I hope to have the new Magic Ink story ready to begin posting in two weeks.

The Amulets of Power Series

Once again, I must apologize to my readers. Yesterday, I posted the conclusion of the Amulets IV story. Since then, I have received a number of e-mails from readers who thought that I had concluded the series.

I'm sorry if that is the impression that the Epilogue left you with. It ONLY concluded that part of the series in which Bill and Suenee are the main characters. In fact I have already started on Amulets V and have two chapters written.

Amulets V starts a new part of the series with different main characters, and it is set in an earlier time period then the previous stories.

I started Amulets V and Magic Ink III at the same time, but have concentrated on Magic III after writing two chapters of each. Magic III will be my next story to appear, as soon as I have enough of the story edited. It will be followed by Amulets V. It is also possible that there will be an Amulets VI depending on how Amulets V concludes.

I hope that this will help reduce your concerns about the future of these stories.

Amulets IV chapter 25 & 26

The new chapters have been sent for posting.

The final two chapters of Amulets IV open with payday at the end of March. Starling and Noon are married when they get to Chiang Rai.

Preparations for the end of their tour really pick up after payday. Some of the Chinese trucks are sold.

Their replacement Team arrives on 28 April. On 30 April the team returns to Chiang Rai with all of their equipment. Captaim Tamusarit and his team arrive that afternoon.

There is a problem with transportation back to Lop Buri, and they must wait until Saturday. The women move out of the house. Both Teams have rooms in the same hotel.

The wives and children leave on the train on Saturday morning. both A-Teams fly to Lop Buri that afternoon.
The wives and children arrive on Sunday.

On Monday, Bill is one of those that goes over the End of Tour Report with Major Carlson and LTC Hawkins. There are a number of surprises that surface during this meeting and after it.

In the Epilogue, Bill explains what happened after that tour, and how the various characters made out in life.

*********
My next story will be 'Magic Ink III'. I have a good start on it with 14 chapters finished. However, I will not begin posting it until I have four installment edited.

With 'Amulets IV" I have only had one installment edited before it was posted. I can't work like that. My editors have lives of their own, and aren't always able to return chapters quickly. to avoid these problems. I will wait to start posting the next story.

I hope you enjoy these last two chapters of Amulets IV, and I will be back when the material is ready.

Keep Well.

Amulets IV chapter 23 & 24

The new chapters have been submitted for posting.

This weeks chapters open with the February payday. Starling gets promoted. Noon and he have a misunderstanding, but it is soon cleared up and everyone retires to their rooms. Later Starling has concerns about being in trouble for getting married.

Back at camp, Bill and Tweed are nervous, expecting an attack, but nothing happens for a while.

On Friday the 13th of March, the Chinese launch an airborne attack early in the morning. I won't destroy your enjoyment by describing the attack.

Later Suenee appears in Operations so the Radio will work, and Bill can go on the reconnaissance with Tweed and the Major. Again I won't tell what happens on the reconnaissance, as it would give things away, and you should enjoy it yourselves.

There is a confrontation between Suenee and the Major after returning from the reconnaissance. Bill explains everything to the Major.

Afterward, they receive very explicit orders from Group about the events of that morning. On the 18th, visitors from Group and Thai SF arrive to discuss what happened on and after the 13th. There are a number of surprises.

Finally on the 25th visitors from Thai Army Headquarters and the Government in Bangkok arrive for a briefing.

Enjoy these two chapters. Next week will bring the conclusion of the story.

Amulets IV chapters 21 & 22

The new chapters have been submitted for posting.

This weeks chapters open with a lot of activity on the morning after the attack. The column of dead enemy soldiers is investigated. Bill and the Rangers go to track down the missing Command Group.

Across the river, they locate the enemy Command Group and the vehicles in a small valley. The vehicles are taken back to camp along with the dead Command Group. They find orders on them in Chinese.

Bill gets some sleep after retuning to camp. Captain Tamusarit arrives that afternoon with his report of the attack on his camp, and its outcome. We hear about Tweed's adventures that morning.

That night's contact with Jockey 3 is very confrontational. The reports are sent to Group Headquarters the next day. SFC Lee returns a few days later with a report on how their report of the attacks were received.

A week later they are contacted by High Flier 33. These two chapters conclude with preparations for another payday.

Enjoy these two chapters. More surprises next week.
