Digital Copy of Game World

Jim - As far as I'm concerned I have no problem with someone making a digital copy of any of my stories for their private enjoyment on their tablet, laptop, kindle, or other device. I only have a problem if somebody tries to make money off it.

As far as I know SOL offers this service to Premier subscribers and authors who've written over as certain volume of

If you can make a digital copy or download it from the site go for it and again thanks for reading.

The Armoured Cars

First off a reader needs to disconnect from our Earth's reality and connect with the alternate Earth's reality. What must be realized is that these people do not have our history of armoured warfare. In fact, without getting into spoilers, these people have very little military experience and it shows in their tactics and the equipment that they use. While it is true that the alternate Earth is a high tech world compared to our Earth, most of that high tech is focused on very specific technical fields and the production of armoured cars for riot control isn't one area that they're experts at. You could say that the armoured cars were an improvised solution that didn't work.

When I wrote the battle with the armoured cars I was visualizing the armoured cars of the interim years between WWI and WWII. Many of them were simply a truck chassis with armour plating attached and they could be easily taken out with well placed grenades or machine gun fire.

Hopefully this clears up any questions. Thanks for reading.

How do I type?

The question was asked today by a reader and the topic has been broached by other readers in the past so I decided to post something here to clarify things.

To start things off I will say that I'm a touch-typer and I have been since I was fourteen years old. I've always been a typist (long before computers ever came out and back in the days when if you wanted to have more than one copy you had to use carbon paper). Being a touch-typist meant that I had to learn to be an accurate typer without having to look at the paper that I was typing. I've kept at it for over forty years.

To date I haven't tried using any mechanical aids such as Dragon Speech. I do have a copy of it but I haven't loaded it up yet. Mostly I type with word set at 200 percent magnification and I use spelling and grammer check continually in an effort to get most of my spelling mistakes before I send it off to my editor / proofreader.

I am considering getting some hardware now that my vision has really diminished. I've got an appointment with my local Institute of the Blind to talk to their computer specialist. Hopefully they can offer me something that doesn't cost me a fortune.

So that is it for now; a life of touch typing and ramped up magnification and a hell of a lot of spell checking.

Thanks for asking.

No I'm not renaming characters!

Thanks for the spelling catch. Dort is back to being Dork and the chapter has been reposted. I won't be messing with the big guy, Charles needs him and I like him.

Anthony - Re-read Chapter 60

Anthony...thanks for the feedback but I think you must be a speed reader and missed it. Nimue nails Charles on how he knew about the resort and Charles explains it to everyone in the party about when he originally knew about the resort and why he hadn't done anything about it up until that point.

Just remember that before coming to Game World Victoria and Daphne filled Charles brain with every piece of intelligence that they had on Game World from what to expect to who was the bad guys and where he could find them. I havent referred to that in ages but the memories are still there and now we're getting back to it.

Thanks again for reading.
