The updated version is now up. The one that went up this morning was the rough draft my editors send me, and I hadn't accepted their changes.

I will begin posting on August 26 and 27. It will then post every Sat. and Wed. until it is done.

ABM III will be ready this fall. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel to be able to wrap that one up.

Some feedback for ABM II:
This is by far your best effort. The James Bond movie scenes I could see being filmed. I was on the edge of my seat, it was that good. Then later, I was laughing out loud with my wife looking at me like I was crazy.

I've read you since the beginning, and your technical skills and storytelling have continued to improve. I absolutely loved Third Son and The Valley, but you hit your stride with A Better Man 2.

... for Third Son.

I realize it was a departure from what I normally write, but this is the kind of story I grew up reading. Because of that, you would think it would be easy to write. Not the case at all. My editors and I tried to make it as realistic as possible, but at some point, it is a work of fiction and allowances had to be made.

In the end, I was happy with how it turned out.

So, what's next?

The original plan was to start posting my story about a boy whose family is in the porn business, called The Valley. I've decided to hold that off and begin posting A Better Man Book 2 toward the end of August. The Valley will follow that in the Spring.

Note that we are beginning to re-read through ABMII and fix or make changes that the Advance Readers helped us identify. After not looking at it for several months, it gives me a chance to look at a story with fresh eyes -- code for I am old and forgot what I wrote. I personally think this is the best in the series to date.

A Better Man Book 3 is halfway done. Just sent the 27th chapter to my editors to fix it. I'm feeling better about releasing an Advanced Reader Copy in late Fall. When I get closer to the release date I will let everyone know.

It was pointed out that I hadn't done a blog in a while and I should probably update everyone on what is going on with me.

Let's see. My mother just turned 80 and I went on a short vacation with her to celebrate. We went to St. Augustine and had a nice time. My only complaint was it was freezing. Their high was like 74. When I left in the morning to drive up there, it was in the 80s. So, it's official. My blood has thinned and I can never move back up north. The trade-off is that I have to mow the lawn this week.

Writing ABMIII and have the first 16 chapters done. Shooting for fall on that one.

Feedback on Third Son has been positive. For me, it was the hardest book to write but now that I am rereading it as I post, I think it might be one of my most complete books. I have plans for two more in the series. I'll probably write the next one when I take a break from David.

I will begin posting a new sword and sorcerer story: The Third Son.

This harkens to my childhood when I discovered the wonders of a library card and read every fantasy and science fiction story I could get my hands on.

The same day, you'll also find on my website an advanced reader copy of a new book called The Valley. It is about a boy who loses his mother and has to move in with his father and stepmother... who are porn stars. As you can guess, there is a lot of sex in this coming-of-age story.

And with that said... I am now writing A Better Man Book III. NO TIME FRAME yet ;-)
