Thank you. I think we've turned the corner

My latest story, after my short break, "It's Alright Daddy....I Understand", I feel has been pretty well received. So thank you....I appreciate this a lot. It was my most popular download ever, getting some 3500 hits in it's first week and was even the #1 new story of the week for a single day. (Can't compete with Wayne.)

Since the theme...teenage girl takes care of her widowed dad...isn't a stretch, I have to think you wanted to read the story because it was my story. So thank you again. I'm truly flattered. The score, which was 6.17 the last time I looked, won't scare anyone but it is a decent score and I'm not complaining.

However, my "we've turned the corner" remark was because I saw no evidence that the story was maliciously trashed. Some readers loved it and some not so much and the score is what it is. But it appears that my mia culpas and prostrations for all the brash and sometimes annoying (although entertaining, I've been told) drunk blogging of last year have gotten us past the "Let's trash anything Chandra posts" stage to something a little more benign. So thank you also for that. (Shutting off anonymous feedback may have had something to do with this and I can't say I have a problem with not getting any more hate mail.)

And lastly, speaking of blogs, as we approach 13,000 hits in a little over a year, they may have been brash and sometimes annoying but we sure have liked to read them, haven't we.

So this is pretty cool. It's nice to be appreciated for bringing some sexy fun into people's lives. I've even made some new cyber friends recently as a result.

Life is good.

Some thoughts on Andrew Wiggin's "Venting" blog

IMO, Andrew was spot on with his answer/analysis to DWPs letter to him. And to his credit, he handled this delicate and politically charged matter with diplomacy, facts and logic. Unfortunately, the Fundamentalist inerrant beliefs eschew facts and logic and fall entirely on faith. A blind obedient faith, not unlike that of the Taliban. Because, as Andrew also points out (I'm using my own words here), to have an inerrant view is to reject the accumulated scientific knowledge of the human race. So much for facts and logic.

Frankly, I don't understand how any educated and otherwise intelligent person could have this view. I'm sure it has something to do with some psychological need but not being a trained psychologist, I can't imagine what that need might be.

Certainly, the teachings of Jesus (love, peace, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness) have virtually nothing to do with current Fundamentalist beliefs. Are we to assume, then, that their beliefs are in a book, written by committees of men and edited by more committees of men, over a period of centuries, has more value to them than a belief in a divine spirit? Either way, trying to reason with people like this is, at very best, an exercise in futility but good try Andrew.

Andrew further talks about the Jesus PR job and from my readings, that's exactly what it was. The Romans were highly tolerant of the myriad religions and cults (168 by some accounts) being practiced in their empire. As long as there was no public nuisance, it was 'live and let live. At the time, central to many of these groups was the Messiah mythology. Jesus preached a good message and had a nice thing going, with a number of followers. But to really put his ministry over the top, he and his inner core (including Judas) had to play to that mythology and (remember...this is my opinion) concocted the resurrection, which is the basis of Christianity. Without the resurrection, there's no religion. Of course, to do that, he had to become enough of a public nuisance to get the attention of the bankers and the Romans, so he would be publicly executed and ultimately "resurrected". He gave up his life and endured a horrible death and changed the world.

Personally, I don't see any conflict with a belief in God and a belief in science, because I don't believe they're mutually exclusive. If you put all of today's quantum physicists together, you have no impact on their string M theories in trying to explain infinity. Albert Einstein, the greatest scientific mind since Isaac Newton, had an unshakeable belief in God. When confronted with the Heisenberg uncertainty principal, a cornerstone of quantum physics, he declared, "God doesn't play dice with the universe". (Experiments have shown that Einstein was wrong about the uncertainty principal but that has nothing to do with his belief in God.)

At some point, you have to sit back and say, OK...I don't know. At that point, is God. Not, IMO, the God of the Christians or the God of the Jews or anyone else's Good Book God...just God. Eternal and Infinite. As to inerrantcy...it takes all kinds.

Peace and love,
Chandra

It's Alright Daddy...I Understand

This is a new story going into the cue. It's not Hemingway but I think it's a fun stroke story and a decent read. The feedback I've gotten has been very positive. It's about a 15 year old girl who wants to be good to her widowed dad. (No plot stretch here.)

I'm going to leave on the scoring, fully expecting some hairballs to trash it. But I also have my fans, who I hope will counter them. However, I no longer accept anonymous email, so for those people who want to be mean on top of trashing the story, they'll just have to sign their emails and I'm going to ask them why they're being mean.

Writing porn for fun,

Hello SOL...I'm writing again

I guess I get bored easily because I'm writing again. I'm working on 3 different stories. For anyone who is interested, the first one should be posted in a few weeks. Very naughty stories. One is the 2nd sequel to "Daddy I've Been Bad", one I've tentatively titled "I Understand, Daddy" and the 3rd is a flash story of one of my sexy adventures.

However, I'm no longer accepting anonymous feedback and I'm also turning off the scoring for anything I post from now on. You know...this is for sexy fun. For fantasies. For jerking off. The notion that I submit my material to be trashed by hateful illiterates who are incapable of composing an intelligible paragraph of their own is obnoxious and I'm no longer going to do it. If someone wants to give me feedback...Dude, I reply to every email.

On a personal note, and for those who care...a quick catch up on life as I know it:

I'm in my senior year and will be starting my MBA (no more law) in the spring.

I've made tremendous strides concerning the intimacy issues and have discovered, through behavior modification therapy, that the issues are more learned behavior than neurotic in nature. In other words, learned behavior can be unlearned.

I vacationed by myself for a week in NY City. Saw all the touristy things, took in several Yankee games, went to some clubs, shed tears at the 9/11 site and had several sexy adventures; one with a young couple from Spain and one with some older guy who insisted on paying me to wear black underwear and whip his ass. (It was fun and I would have gladly done it for free but when a guy waves a bunch of hundreds at you, plus he buys you sexy underwear, you take it.)

I'm dating boys my age.

I've recently taken up golf, as it's the game of business, as opposed to my beloved tennis, which isn't. (Business men aren't athletes.) It's a boring game but I'm finding it pretty easy to break 90, which is good enough so that I won't embarrass myself. And once I can break 80, I'll stop taking lessons.

Lastly, I've got a new hobby. You may refer to me as Mistress Chandra, Party Dom. I look really hot in black leather. It's not about inflicting serious pain or blood or hard core S&M mutilation or any of that stuff. EW! It's about wielding sexual power and having men and women beg you for more. And why not? After all...I'm Chandra of Fucking Miami, right? LOL.

Talk to you soon

I hit on Gloria Estefan

Hi folks

I know, I know. I said I was taking a break but I'm busting a gut with this and I had to share it.

I drove up to Broward County, to the HardRock Hotel in the city of Hollywood, with a school friend who wanted to see her favorite rock n roll band who was playing there.

They were great but sitting at the front table of the club was Gloria Estefan and her entourage of beautiful, young Latinas, including her 16 year old daughter, who played with her own band. (Notes: If you don't know who Gloria Estefan is, I can't help you here; her daughter sounded great but her band sucked; and the Estefans live in Miami.)

I could see her motor was running, so I went up to her and asked her to dance. My friend was mortified. The Son of Hitler Youth body guard who was sitting next to her tried to shoo me away but I put my hand gently but firmly on her shoulder and looked her in the eye and she got up to dance with me. Much to the body guard's unhappiness. (Additional note: there were 2 other Sons of Hitler Youth standing near and when they approached us, we ignored them.

She was tiny and beautiful. I wanted her so bad I ached. I made as much body contact as possible but her daughter was sitting right there so nothing was going to happen. I'm not going to say she put her tongue down my throat but I'll always believe that had we been alone she might have. And btw...she didn't pull away from the body contact.

We danced several rock n roll/disco dances (the girl can boogie) and after breaking a sweat together, we caught our breaths. It was then that I introduced myself and invited her to get together with me on South Beach, where I live. Alas, she said no. I asked her for her number but again, she was very gracious and thanked me for the dances but explained quietly that under different circumstances she might have said yes but she was happily married (to Emilo).

The thing is...by saying that, she acknowledged that she not only understood my intention but that she wasn't at all offended. I have to tell you: the girl is hot!

Me Chandra of Miami. You Gloria of Miami. Grrrrrr :)

Love and sexy girls,
Chandra

PS...I should have asked her if she plays tennis.
