Mandy - The Complete Story - Finished

Posted at

For those who are interested, I finished editing Mandy's story and posted the final chapter today.

When I wrote the first part of the original story over 3 years ago, I had no idea where the characters were going to take me and how they themselves would develop.

I enjoyed the journey they took me on and hope my readers liked it too.

I know the ending of Book 2 begs for more of the relationship between Mandy and Jason as a reader asked me today. I'd like finding out how they do too and hopefully in the not too distant future we'll all find out with Book 3.

And of course I apologize to my readers too. I guess I was more tired last night when I Thought Chapter 8 was OK. NOT!!!

Well, I started reading it as posted on SOL, as is my routine, to make a final check. Anyway it took less than a paragraph to realize I'd made quite a blunder.

I'll try to be more careful.

Tammy - Chapter 15 and Conclusion

Posted at

For those SOL readers who have found and enjoyed my story about "Tammy," today I posted chapter 15 and my conclusion to her story.

It was over 3 years ago when I first started posting Tammy. It was supposed to be a one chapter short story but I'm glad it didn't end up that way. I admit I had other stories just demanding to be written and the time between chapters lengthened.

For quite a while Tammy was listed as 'Incomplete and Inactive." Not something I like to do. I've always intended to complete all stories I've started. Sure I have a couple left which are also marked the same way and they will also be completed.

From time to time, I've had requests to finish Tammy and occasionally posted an additional chapter. For those encouragements, I am appreciative and pleased I can now say this story has been completed because of those readers' request.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy the ending.

What's It All About?

I've paraphrased a question put to me recently by a reader: "What's Its Purpose?"

He didn't exactly say that in his response to one of my stories but that's how I interpreted it. It made me wonder: Why a story, Why I write and simply just Why?

I have many answers to that thought.

I guess I've been writing for over 20 years ... even longer. Perhaps ever since I took a creative writing course in high school.

I have to admit the longest of my efforts have not been published. My earliest and unpublished novels definitely rival some of those I've put on SOL for length.

So to answer the comment the reader made, I do it for me. Selfish, but true.

I enjoy writing as it mentions in my profile. For me, the point of writing is self satisfaction.

Mea Culpa - Bullet - a Cry In the Night (C13)

I doubt if anyone might notice but I made a slight historical mistake in chapter 13. In writing the latest chapter of the story, I inadvertently put the wrong name for Mary and Nathan Parker's first child.

I've corrected it and Chapter 13 will soon appear with the name, John, in that reference. Most might not pick up on it until (or unless) he is referenced in later chapters or future additions to the Bullet Saga. Of course a history buff might pick up on it.

Hope this is not confusing. As always, thanks for reading my attempts at storytelling.
