Darkniciad: Stories

These stories come from the dark side of my world. The blackest of men, the direst of evil forces lurk here. Rest assured that all these stories will have disturbing elements, and are not likely to end well for many involved. You have been warned. These stories are usually not connected in any way, save for the dark themes running through them.

These stories tell the tales of the Nobles in the nation of Egoria. From Blackhawk Hall to Boldheart Castle, and every seat of power in the nation, the rulers of Egoria hold the reins of power because of their deeds, not their birth. Long periods of time may pass between stories in this series. Each story is self-contained, but there is a timeline ( the order of listing for the series ) I'm filling in the gap between the first few history stories and the remaining tales right now, taking the characters from their early life to the "present day".

Forces from beyond this reality are awakening - one light, and one dark. The entire universe is caught up in the quiet struggle between these hidden powers, but some are swept along on the forefront of the tide. Amongst these is Danica Ardane, who has spent years living a mundane life of limited accomplishment. All that changes in a heartbeat, thrusting her into a conflict that will determine the fate of reality.

Devan and Danica Ardane are two very different sisters, both having chosen the study of the Mystic Arts as the means to escape from the small town of their birth and make their own path in the world. This series will follow them as they come of age, and grow in power. Long periods of time may pass between stories in this series. Each story is self contained, but there is a timeline ( as listed in the sequence of the stories )
