Science Fiction Sex Story: Chapter 7 - Picks up Jonathon's adventures in the future with lots of sex and a fair bit of story. Completely reposted and edited with a few changes. Look for Books 4 and 5. They are being roughed in with writing having started. 4 is the story of some Sin Loos and a reader idea. 5 will be more on the new Atlantans.

I decided to winter with the Oaks and talked to Mickey about that. He was glad we were staying that long. He truly wanted us to settle with the Oaks though recognized that the likelihood of that was small.

Given this long period, we could make plans, learn skills and develop items that would help us all in the future. The radios were a reality and worked well. We needed a battery source for the roving squad but accepted that they would have to call in when it was convenient. That produced a need for clocks, which proved to be more difficult than I thought. We finally abandoned that project and moved further into radios. We learned a lot about different types of radios and radio bands and their different properties. There were about five people who truly made a study of radio and understood what it could and couldn't do. They and the battery group were the primary advisers in that area. We did not have a lot of power anywhere except at the institute. Therefore, it was either batteries or a hand﷓cranked generator.

Our radio group discovered Morse code in one old directory on a computer. That directory had a lot of radio information that they had used. Of particular interest to that group were the bands that, in my day, had been used by amateurs. They explained that forty meters would be best for us when we left to start our own city. They started building receivers and transmitters for use at that time. It was easier and more efficient to use Morse code rather than voice. They performed some experiments to prove it to themselves. Mickey and I decided to believe them. One of our people was part of the five and would be our communications person later.

Personally, I watched our baby grow in Janet's body. Marie proved to be a good companion and she and Janet had a strong bond. I learned to love her but did not have the depth of love that I felt for Janet. I talked to Janet about my times' custom of marriage without getting into the idea of one man and one wife. I explained that it was a formal bond publicly announced to the community. I also did not go into divorce. After a lot of talk, she and I along with Marie made a formal, public announcement of our union and became man and wives. Soon after, there were others in our group making their own announcements of their union. An interesting one was two brothers who married two sisters in a shared relationship.

There were more things to be discovered at the institute but I also realized that we must perform our own basic research at some point. Our issues with batteries were a prime example as were the experiments with gunpowder. I discussed with the battery group the idea behind a water wheel generator. They went with it and developed a water wheel that would constantly produce power until the generator gave out. That happened frequently as we needed parts that were better made. That led to more interest in metalworking and then to machining and then to more metals knowledge. Rediscovering all the old knowledge would take lifetimes but we could start having an advantage over the original inventors. We knew it would work if we set it up correctly.

The radio group wanted to disassemble a radio that worked to figure it out. I let them open one up and look inside. I said, "Guys, even if you can figure out what that does," pointing at a part, "you can't make one. We shouldn't destroy what works unless there is a reasonable hope that we can fix it. Let's look at the computer file that talks about crystal controlled radios that, with a little luck and perseverance, we can make." I know that didn't kill the interest in taking things apart but it would, I hoped, make them think first.

We would set up newly found computers and laptops and check them out. Some were dead and some worked after a little power was applied. A network had been going and we would download everything to a new unit as soon as we got it working. Some continued to work but many died shortly after being powered and stayed dead. I applied my computer knowledge to change out hard drives but that helped rarely. Each one would have some files on it that, when examined, would aid our research or send it in a new direction. One day, we found a laptop and downloaded it to our main server. It continued to work but had a tendency to be erratic so we set it aside. The information on it was a different issue.

The prior owner/user was an amateur radio buff that liked to build old, simple sets. He had downloaded plans, diagrams and descriptions of many. His computer also had a complete handbook from some organization that went into radio knowledge and electrical knowledge including antennas. This was a treasure for the radio group! They jumped on it and started to study diligently. This was information they could use!

The team went through the information first to get an idea of what was there. After a quick view, they called in the generator group and got them started on one area. There was a theory group that was excited to find this information as they could determine things from a broader base. Electricity and electronics seemed to have everybody's attention. There were other things but none with such a quick change for the effort. Many people could see the advantages in having electricity for lights and to power all kinds of items.

The winter rolled through and there was a fair bit of snow. Everyone enjoyed working and the institute's groups had made progress with electricity and its generation. They tried a few light bulbs but nothing happened. I looked at the bulbs and realized they were standard type bulbs for a.c. current. We were using d.c. current at a low voltage. I explained that. It started another round of work.

In the meantime, our gunnery improved with better rifles and ammunition. Finding a gun person's home helped, since he had been a self-loader and all the parts and pieces were in the basement. There were even a couple of books left that were somewhat readable. Those books gave enough hints to help Robby and the gunners to figure out how to make ammunition and better guns.

We had a radio working up at the bridge along with the ability to contact the roving squad when they called. They did have a schedule for calling though our time keeping left a lot to be desired. All that was working pretty well.

The radio group wanted to test their new built long-range radios. The roving squad took them north one hundred miles in early spring and the tests were successful.

Another thing was successful. I became a father of a boy who we named Johnny. Marie was pregnant. Janet had made sure I was not idle. Calveen had been at work and Susan was pregnant. Linda had gone to Janet because she was not getting pregnant by Tony. Janet prevailed upon me to try which was not a difficult, though it was a hard, duty. After a month of me having sex with her daily, she still did not get pregnant. Her guess became that she never would. She went back to just enjoy sex and had to forget about being a mother. Janet told me that she told Linda she would the beloved aunt to all the children.

Nan and Nor had come to Janet and requested my services as an impregnator for both of them. Their periods were in sync and they both wanted to be pregnant at the same time. It was hard work but I managed with Janet being present and sucking on various body parts as hers were sucked on.

It was a fine winter and early spring. Before Marie, Nan, and Nor were too big to travel conveniently, we loaded everyone up and left to found our new city, Atlanta.

The travel down the I-75 roadway was easy. We came to the Marietta area and started to look for a site for our new town. We needed fields for planting, pasture for livestock, and an active stream for power generation. We picked out a pleasant place to camp and sent out parties with representatives from all groups to search for the best place that had all three requirements. As they left, I added a request that it be defensible, also. We also sent a party to the bridge to check its status.

We radioed to Mickey our location and status as we had each evening. We found that our transmissions and reception was better in the early evening. Our radioman always listened after our transmission to check if anyone else was using the airwaves. He heard nothing. However, he also said there were many frequencies that were available. It would be unlikely that someone else would choose our frequency for their transmissions.

We settled in to our campsite. If no better place presented itself, this would do. It had everything except the stream and that was only five miles away. The ground around the active part of the stream was not good for farming or pasture though the area of our campsite was good for both.

Our scouting parties returned having found no people and having a list of sites with maps. After much discussion, we decided that the campsite was the best choice. It was centrally located, it had farming and pasture at hand and, though a few miles away, it had good water for power generation. We decided that planting our city here and building toward the power stream was what we would do. The farmers claimed a portion and the ranchers claimed another area also very close. We used wood from the forest toward the stream to start building houses. Janet and I picked out a knoll a bit to the north for our first real home. She and Marie helped me with the plans designing it for our lifestyle. Moorehome went up slowly but steadily. Many people came by to help as we did for our fellows. Calveen and Calver set their house fairly close to ours and started building. Linda and Tony, Trudy and Haney, Mar and Harry, and Nan and Nor all designed smaller houses just downhill from ours and started building. In two months, there could be seen a definite plan and the outsides of houses were taking shape.
