Ed and his wife Sally had just turned 39 and their daughter Debbie was 15. He thought she was growing into the spitting image of her mother. Sally is an airline Flight Attendant and Ed is an author having had three of his books already published. For Debbie besides her school work and friends she is currently a Middle School Cheerleader.

Sally had left this morning on her standard East Coast Ed three day tour when Ed received a call from his daughter’s school nurse.

Ed quickly drove to Debbie’s school building and found his daughter lying down in the nurse’s office.

“Sweetheart are you alright? I am so sorry you got hurt. Let’s get you to the hospital and get your wrists x-rayed. Thanks Helen for taking care of Deb. You’re the best dear.”

On the drive to the hospital Ed asked Deb what happened.

“Sorry Debbie your x-ray shows you have broken both of your wrists. The casts will need to stay on between 5 to 6 weeks. Ed she will need lots of help around the house during this time.”

“That won’t be a problem Dr. I work from home and her mother fly’s but is home every 3-4 days. So yes we’ll be able to give Deb all the care she needs. Let’s get you home dear so you can relax love.”

On the drive home the two of them spoke about the help she would require.

“Sweetie I know this will be uncomfortable for you but while you mother is gone I will need to help you with everything. So I know you don’t want me to see you naked but I promise while I will see you I try not to really look at you. Does that make sense dear?”
