It’s a rainy Wednesday in Bermondsey, South London. It’s late afternoon and it’s already beginning to get dark. We’re at a small industrial estate consisting of half a dozen factory/warehouses. Speaking very good English with a slightly clipped accent, she says, “My name is Jenny Tsung. I’m 44, married with two children, and we have our own kitchen factory.” She indicates the building behind her office.

The camera pans away from her for a second, taking in the office and factory, catching a brief shot of her husband, also small and Chinese, standing to the side of the office, watching everything with a curious little smile.

Jenny continues to talk to us – the interview is cut together in that jerky, high speed, no pause between lines, style. “My husband is always good to me ...
