Chapter 3: The Proposal

I had a strange dream and in my dream, I saw a 3D holographic image of an old man. The man looked like Gandolf from "The Lord of the Rings" movie. He even sported a staff like Gandolf. I got up from my bed and approached the image. I was scared shitless but gathered some courage and asked him who was he.

The man with a smile on his lips answered, "My name is Veer, Great Father and I am from the future". I was shocked for a while, I asked him how is it that he appears to be much older than I am, but he is calling me 'Great Father'? Veer smiled and said "Great Father as I said I am from the future that makes you my ancestor hence you are my Great Father and my Great Mother is Vini, your blood sister and I am your child from the future from the same linage".

Never in my entire life of fifty years, have I been so confused or scared by hearing what Veer the stranger told me. Sensing my confusion Veer the strange old man said "O Great Father, the shaking of the earth and the tremors that you felt this night is the sign of this world of yours coming to an end very soon". I was shocked beyond reason, my mind was in turmoil, I wanted to believe this man yet I distrusted him.

"How can you predict the end of my world"? I yelled at him. Veer the strange old man said "O Great father don't be angry, we knew of this day long before you were even born and we waited for it to come". I raised my hands and gave up in desperation and anger. Veer the strange old man said, "O Great Father, I can explain if you please promise not to be angry and listen to me with patience".

Veer the strange old man said, "O" Great Father, the earth shaking and the tremors that you all felt was the result of nuclear bombs launched on your country by your archrival Pakistan. Your country also retaliated in kind and today Pakistan is no more but this has triggered a world war III. Very soon, there will be more nuclear attacks around the world.

Veer the strange old man said, "O" Great Father, we in the future have tracked down our ancestry. It zeroed down on you. I am sorry, "O" Great Father. Our consortium instigated the whole affair. We wanted to keep our world alive and thriving. "O" Great Father, we had put the thoughts in your mind for the family reunion with The Great Mothers. I hollered, yelled at the man and said "You my so called child from the future, how could you kill my cousin brothers and how could you even think of separating the children of mine and children of so called your Great Mothers, How could you be so mean and ruthless"?

The old man smiled and said "O" Great Father, they would all have died anyway because they had no role to play in the future. I was getting nervous and mad as hell. The immensity of what this man from the future told me was making my brain in to jelly. I had no clue to what he was telling me and it took a lot of my will power to follow the conversation.

"How it is possible, I do not even have a wife or mate"? I threw a punch at him. I thought so.

"O" Great Father, please be calm and let me explain further. I kept my mouth shut but the desperation and anxiety was killing me. Veer the strange old man said, "O" Great Father, you are to take all the women that are with you as your mates and wives and make them Great Mothers. I laughed hard clutching my belly and tears came out in torrents at his suggestions. I rolled on the floor of the cabin. I said "What a fool you are my man from the future, the vary mention of your suggestion will put me in my grave before you blink your eyes".

"O" Great Father, you are behaving like a child and not paying attention to what I am saying. I do not want to be disrespectful since you are the only one who can save the future race that thrives for thousands of years. Veer said in a very stern tone.

How can I you dufus, even if the girls agree to what you say, to be my wives and mate but what about DNA. The children born from this union are going to have deformities. Do you live in a future world with deformed people, I asked with a sneer.
