Normally, I stay in the background as an editor. I also tend to send feedback to authors on a frequent basis, but have decided to branch out, and try to spotlight a few stories by being a reviewer.
Normally, I prefer longer stories. I also have my own unique blend of preferences, squicks, and apathy as far as various codes go. Since I'm willing to review any story any author wants reviewed, I'll make certain that I'll mention any time my tastes affect my opinion on a story.
One last thing: I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who actually reads these reviews I write, and finds them useful in choosing what to read. That is, after all, why I write them.
