I'm a typical middle-aged married guy with 3 kids. I'm thinking that I'll start with true (or mostly so) stories of my life before trying anything more ambitious such as historical fiction, like some of my favorites here on SOL. In my mind, Argon ("In The Navy") compares favorably with published authors like Bernard Cornwell. The other genre that I'd love to try is the young athlete coming-of-age story in the mold of Cold Creek ("Dman"), Rev. Cotton Mather ("Playing The Game"), & Douglas Fox ("Lost & Found").
