I've written for money for most of my life, just not fiction. These are the first made-up stories I've made public in any medium. Although, when I was twelve years old, I did write a continuation of Huck and Jim's adventures on the big river. I lost those hand-written pages sometime during the many years since then.
Since I am now in the second half of my seventh decade, I guess I have to call myself a senior citizen. I'm retired now, but just because I'm not getting paid for it any more doesn't make me a former writer. The flesh may be a bit weaker, but the spirit is still willing.
