How did I end up here?
My story begins in 1975, when I was dropped into this world. My eyesight has been shot to hell thanks to a birth defect and my childhood was a rather lonely one. The other kids had no idea how to deal with the weird blind kid, so I could choose between ridicule or bullying. I chose to stay indoors and spend my time going through my father's vast collection of books. I read voraciously, from old pulp stories by the likes of Robert E. Howard to Sci-Fi by Isaac Asimov or Fantasy as penned by Michael Moorcock.
In 1989 my parents decided that I should visit a boarding school for blind and visually impaired kids. At the time, I was shocked and confused - why would they send me away? But in hindsight, it was the best thing they could do for me. I became much more independent and finally, freed from the curse of being the only visually impaired kid around, I made friends. Girlfriends even. I wrote my first fantasy story for a girl I was dating at the time and it was a smashing success. At the same time, I found the joys of Pen & Paper roleplaying games, which would become another inspiration for my writing. When I became older, my reading habits started to include raunchier themes and my writing transformed to include hot sex scenes as well.
