I've been writing for a long time, but this is the first time I've gotten the guts to post something up for anyone to read. To that end, I welcome feedback, both positive and critical, especially if the feedback contains reasons why the reader did or did not like the story. I like to know what my audience is thinking and what I can do to improve the story.
My stories tend to be based around super-hero or sword and sorcery genres. I collected comic books for most of my life until the price of the hobby drove me out about five years ago. But I still hold a great passion for the genre. I picked up my first copy of a Dungeons & Dragons game over 25 years ago, and that began my lifelong interest in role-playing games and the fantasy genre.
The stories that I like to read are long tales that emphasize characters and plots above the sex. Stroke stories are just not my forte. I certainly have a fondness for kink and sex, but I'd much rather it be story and/or character driven.
Some of my writing influences (from all types of media): Peter David, Kevin Smith, Joss Whedon, R.A. Salvatore, Laurell K. Hamilton, and Craig Shaw Gardner.
I like a lot of online authors, but there are two that really stand out and helped give me the nerve to take some of my stories public: Dark Paladin and Dimitri. Both of those guys do really, really good work. If you haven't read anything by them, go out and find their stuff.
