A woman of the South, I'm older than Sesame Street and younger than 50 year-old Alabama Public Television. I've been told that I view the world through rose colored glasses and, in a way, I do. Being raised in a rural community where everyone knows everyone and everyone looks out for the other, it's hard not to see things through roses. Being somewhat of a romantic doesn't clear up the view much, either.
Writing is something I've done since I was eleven. I found that I could deal with the stuff life tossed at me through escaping into worlds of my own creation where I could control everything that happened. The good guy always won and I always got the hero and lived happily ever after.
Writing for me is way to release stress, to fill a part of me that needs filling, and to discover things about myself that I might not otherwise have known.
I write; therefore, I am.
