4: Bravo Force by Robin Pentecost Excellent exploration of intelligent management and sensitive appraisal of the underlying issues to modulate the use of dumb force. There is a theme in this story that force commanders everywhere would benefit from.
5: Depth of Field by Ryan Sylander Brilliant plotting and characters. Situations and causation good enough to defeat skepticism about the coincidences.
6: First Class by Belinda LaPage Utterly convincing expression of feelings despite the barely credible situation.
7: Flight of the Code Monkey by Kid Wigger Great situation, plot and characters. If you can slow down enough to not let the habit of minute detail irritate you the actual storytelling pace works too.
