1: Aftermath by Al Steiner This was the first long story I read on SOL. It's good, brilliant in fact, and if the sexual content was toned down the plot would make it brilliant film or book for a wider audience.
Having said that the sex sits well with the story and makes it even better.
2: Snowplow Extra by Wes Boyd Theres no sex in this story, but it is a brilliant tale, well told. I could picture the scenes from the writing.
Quite a long story, but it's never boring
3: Model Engineer by obohobo This is a nice tale about a disabled woman, and was probably the inspiration for my tale, Big Paul. Model Engineer covers a lot of ground, but basically makes the point that anyone can be sexy and fun given the right circumstances. It also addresses family perceptions of disabled people, the 'does he take sugar' syndrome
.
I have a friend (Male) who was confined to a wheelchair after a bad motorbike accident, about 30 years ago, and I remember his problems in being able to have normal relationships. The problem was those who cared for him. As he said on more than one occasion "It my legs, not my dick and balls I lost". Anyway he met a lovely lass and they have 3 grown up children now so things worked out in the end
