The title says it all. Looking for a harem without sharing the girls. Basically only one male in the harem where the harem is exclusive. Anyone in the harem can sleep with anyone just not outside the harem. Also, the story ends with the harem intact.
There really should be a tag for this so I could do a category search but if there is I don't know it.
There is a tag for this. It's called "harem".
When there's sharing, it's usually some form of polyamory or group marriage.
The problem that you're running in to is not the lack of a tag, but the fact that:
a) Not everyone uses tags the same way,
b) Not everyone uses tags at all,
c) Not all stories treat harems (or other story elements) the same, and
d) The entire tag system is outdated and not reviewed.
So if someone tags their story incorrectly or uses a tag in a way that doesn't fit the norm, there's nothing anyone can really do about it. This isn't a failing of the tag.

If you report a wrong tag on a story Lazeez will review it and adjust it if he thinks it's misplaced.
That's the thing though, who is to say my definition of harem which doesn't involve sharing is the correct one? If I go to the tag page which shows the meanings there isn't any talk of exclusivity so I don't really think it's the author's fault or that they're tagging incorrectly. So a dedicated tag for it would be nice.
On storiesonline the Harem tag doesn't really signal exclusivity. it just means when a guy "has a collection of women housed in a palace for his own pleasure. Could apply for newer setting stories where a similar situation exists." That's what is on the tag page, I know on other sites a harem usually implies exclusivity but not here. So the norm here is that exclusivity doesn't matter, so reporting it wouldn't make sense since its fine here.
I think this has been requested before. Perhaps someone more skilled at forum searching than myself can locate the threads.

StarFleet Carl's "A True History" series qualifies. Now with Chapter 27 of Book Four its MC, Cal Lewis, has 17 wives, a few children and more coming. He started with 3 girlfriends in Book One.
BTW, each of the complete 3 books has 30 chapters, so if you start reading now, the last chapters of book 4 will be posted and you don't have to wait.
But guessing from the pacing till now there will be a Book Five and probably a Book Six to come.

Not sure if you want to read it. The wife is banged by another in the few first chapters against her will. It will take a bit to find out it was against her will though and how it was and why she could not stop it. I stuck out the first few chapters to see the hubby deal with it. After that he doesn't share any of his wives to include the newest alien female joining his harem. A harem built by his wife. Worthwhile read. I am like you I do not dig cheating wives, but it was worth the wait to get past it in the story.

A current harem without sharing (yet) is Beth by Bronte Follower. It's Dad; his daughter (the MC) and her 4 friends, all 14; his wife, added wife and new woman, mothers of three of the girls. Soon to add another three women to the mix. Probably will also be adding a 14 year old boy soon so there will be some sharing in addition to the heavy lesbian action among the girls.
The MC's mother, Dad's wife, did cheat on her husband in the first couple of chapters but he never found out. It was a weak setup for the story and the storyline was abandoned in the first couple of chapters. Mom is now happy cleaning up the girls after Dad fucks them.
