Not a badass

kungfufool45 ๐Ÿšซ

Are there any stories where the main character is a guy isn't a fighter at all. Like it just seems pointless for him to fight because literally everyone around him is incredibly dangerous and they would all hate to see harm come to him. Bonus if a good portion of the people around him are part of his harem.

Quite a few aroslav stories start that way, but usually end up with the Mary Sue character putting on a growth spurt or getting martial arts training etc and end up capable of defending themselves after all.

Joe J's Honkytonk Hero has many people that are very protective of the MC who seems to be a little slow. So no 'dangerous' people but very protective. A very good story.

Maybe try The Power by ElSol.

The MC of the Millionaire Next Door is basically like that. Some of the people around him are quite competent, but not really "Bad Ass" although one is a tough combat veteran, and another did time in prison.

It is one of the best written stories here.

Little Tony by G Younger is that. Second Son of a Mob Boss, still in high school. He uses his brains, and has several Bad Asses if he needs muscle. Little Tony is a peripheral character in the Stupid Boy/Better Man stories.

https://storiesonline.net/s/23402/return-to-sender the Main Character is a pilot, there are numerous other characters who are Bad Asses.

The author has several other stories set in 21st century South Africa. MCs are pilots, with other more Bad Ass Characters supporting them.

Not exactly a Bad Ass, but a "nerd" and an Olympic caliber female Swimmer have a relationship. She is the "Alpha" but it is monogamous.

I really enjoyed the story.

High school boy with a talent for languages, surrounded by Vikings, US Army Rangers, and British Royal Marine Commandos.

Quite a good story.

Well, in CBGB, the main character became a Marine. But he went into computers, not the Infantry. The closest he came to a "fight" other than being attacked was when he intimidated a guy he identified as a "marshmallow" with the fact he was a Marine, and most of the guys that worked with him were veterans.

But none of them were fighters either, but his acting tough did intimidate the guy and nothing was ever heard of him again.

But as Awnlee said, sadly most of them tend to be Mary Sue (or Marty Stu) characters. Where if they are like that, they are so bad-assed that nobody will ever mess with them.

But for various reasons, I refuse to write "violent" characters. The only exceptions were secondary ones, that were not important to the main story.

"Catman" stories are non violent except for one story that has a scene where the MC has a PTSD problem when some high school boys try to take some pizza's from him. He's a nice guy though and is probably seeing the Anger Management team at the VA.

The chronicles of a young man, as he discovers he's a catalyst for other people, giving them strange abilities, and drawing strangers to him like moths to a flame. He's not ready for what happens to him, but slowly adapts, with help from his family and friends. What he does with his many followers, though, is an open question.

It reminded me of Jonthan livingston Seagull, Novella by Richard Bach, a dead tree from the 70's
