Forum: Story Recommendations

Hi all!

I am trying to find for a very long time a story, where average or even better than average man is in relationships with far superior and much younger female.

She should be better at everything. For example:

* He has Masters degree, she has PhD (or two of them) and MBA;

* He is successful IT guy, she is top manager or business owner;

* He goes to gym, she is very strong and competitive athlet who can overpower, outrun and outwrestle him;

She should have really dominant personality, true leader, nature born Alpha. But not BDSM or hard femdom.

I really want to see how male lead deals with his inferiority, emasculation and complexes. How they both deal with it.

In fact, I have a favorite story "The business of minding steel" by unknown author from another site. But this story lacks any romantic relationships between FL and ML. And it's very short.

So, I am looking for slice of life romance/drama in modern world settings.

Really hope for any suggestions.

Oyster50's "Smart Girl" universe deals with intelligent men who form relationships with genius-level girls; but there is not much emasculation going on. On the contrary, the girls, as they grow up in size/maturity/power support their men; although the men do acknowledge the superiority of the eponymous females' talents.

Morgan has some stories (e.g. Kelly) with super-competent females who nonetheless want to be submissive (but only to their chosen partners).

Samantha K. "Dragon Chronicles" takes that to extremes (both the female competence and her desire to be submissive/masochistic -- but only to a point).

Death By Fucking by Andrew Wiggin has superior females in a relationship with (initially) inferior male.

I wanted to also mention jballs "J. B. Jones" series, but there the focus is on the female main character, and the male characters are very much in the background; the female is mostly a lesbian.

StaFleet Carl's Legacy of a Legend and Love Never Changes are somewhat similar in those aspects.

My first thought was "Smart Girls" but this was already suggested.
So how about Weber's Honor Harrington? The book recommended to start with – On Basilisk Station – can be downloaded for free. (Baen Books, Free Library).

Also in commercial print, with some similarity to the Honor Harrington books are the Kris Longknife books by Mike Shepard.
She's a junior officer in the military, but mainly a tomboy princess who creates / finds / solves problems for her father the Prime Minister and her Grandfather the King. Her love interest is her military bodyguard, so definite social / class / rank superiority. These are more tales of daring do than tales of male emasculation.
