I'm looking for stories who's already found love and happiness... For a period of time. What I mean is he had a wife but she died of an unspecified reason. Now he has to learn to go on without her. Bonus if he finds love again.

"Picking up the Pieces" by Wes Boyd
Description: "I love you, Dave!" When Dave heard his wife's last words on his cell phone as he watched the World Trade Center tower fall from the sky, he felt that except for his two sons, his life wasn't worth living any more. But then, some unique old friends came out of a past he thought he'd put behind him, and helped him put his life back together again in ways he never could have expected... and then it was his turn to help his friends when problems arose in their lives.
Two stories, but I don't have the titles at hand and don't have the time to run them down right now:
First: Man's wife is killed, leaving him and his pre-teen daughter. A friend convinces him to go with on a trip to Disney World. On the plane there daughter starts her first period, and flight attendant helps her out. He talks attendant into joining their trip, and true love results.
Second: Father and pre-teen daughter take a trip to Hawaii. While there he a model from being run over by a runaway truck while being severely injured himself. She steps up to care for his daughter while he is in hospital and they falll in love.
The first is "That's what fathers do" by Barneys

Damn you. "Perhaps Love" is one of my favorite stories on SOL so of course I just had to read it again.
So so sorry! Not! Hatchery Road is right up there if you're looking for another good storyβ¦. I can't help it if SOL has an abundance of richesβ¦.
Too late. LOL. I've re-read that one a few times as well. Sure wish the author was still posting stories here. They are top notch.
Thanks for the recommendation of "This is What Fathers Do." I haven't read that one before so I have it queued up to read next.
@wisperclaw @geeko for shame on the both of you for recommending such great stories (I'm joking please recommend more)
check tedbiker's LIST uf Stories the story blurbs list at leaqst 6 to 8 that would qualify
QM's 'The Cure' & 'The Healer' both have a main theme of healing.

Well, they're stories about being healers β but not about healing after loss.
I interpreted the OP to mean emotional healing. Otherwise 'Healing Hands' by Raven Soule & Sweet Biscuit.
But while searching for that story I came across 'Healing Hands of Time by Joe J' which might appeal to the OP despite the wife leaving rather than dying.
