So many stories I'm finding or that are recommended to me are from authors who are no longer on SOL. I'd like to read more stories from authors who are still active and posting on here.
Either that or tell me where everyone went so I can go stalk them there! LOL
The Author Info pages would be a good starting point to check on the status of an author. You can see who is deceased, retired, or just hasn't logged on for several years. Granted, there are some authors with uncompleted stories that still log on regularly, so they won't show up there, but at least it is a starting point.

For those in the unknown: there's a link in the left column on the SOL home page, or use this one: ReaderInfo.
On the front page just below the top is "Authors" between "My Library" and "Alphabetical". Click on Authors and pick a letter that the author's name starts with, or for ones that start with numbers, the # letter. That will bring up a list of all the authors whose name begins with that letter. There is a lot of information about the last time the author posted a story here. You should be able to figure out from that information which ones are still active.

Thank you everyone! I must have been having a bad brain day. My insomnia hasn't been kind in the last few months and 3-4 hours of sleep isn't near enough these days.
Anyway, I really appreciate it!
Most people don't appreciate the long term effects of how insomnia screws with your brain and wrecks your health. I've been there and know how bad it sucks. Here's hoping you get some relief.
Thank you, it's killed a lot of my motivation. I find myself suddenly getting tired in the middle of the day and having to nap. But I can never sleep more than an hour before I am awake. Still even with naps only getting 5 hours a day when I'm lucky. It's been a bad couple of years.
I often have that problem, especially if I'm stuck at home. My solution is to "be active" outdoors. A long walk in the hills, a long bicycle ride (60 miles on a good day). That way I have no problems sleeping when I finally get to hit a bed.
Small quantities of ethanol (a glass of wine or a beer in the evening) have no real effect either way, larger quantities are decidedly unhelpful.
(That reminds me of a Punch cartoon from back in the day, a beggar: "Donations needed to fund research into the effects of alcohol on the human body").
I was taking 4 mile walks while carrying 8 lb weights, lost 70 lbs that way, but it doesn't seem to tire me out enough anymore. Usually I can fall asleep I just can't stay asleep.
Right now due to wildfire smoke and my asthma I am stuck indoors again.

Well, a lot in this very area are still active and writing.
I can't even begin to list all the works I have done since I started writing. And am still writing, both long and short form stories.
