Do over into with a rich family

kungfufool45 ๐Ÿšซ

I mean sure it's great and all to invest a few thousand dollars into something you already know is about to blow but imagine if you had a million or even just a 100 thousand to invest. I mean I understand the want to be relatable but sometimes relatability gets old. Ya know? So are there any stories where the MC goes back and has a rich family?

It's a pity GMW never wrote a do-over. Most of her main characters are rich, as in unspeakably wealthy. At least.

In Reluctant Sir's "Echo" he makes contact with his real father, not GMW rich but certainly comfortable.

Edit: Lazlong wrote "The Fountain of Youth" almost 20 years ago and it qualifies, there was also a sequel. He's been gone for six years now and his stories are premier-only.

It seems to me that immense wealth stories aren't much different from magic. Just throw money at it. Instant fantastical elements. See, for example. "billionaire romances." Of course, the billionaire werewolf romances are even more fun, or bizarre, depending on the skill of the author. But, I admit to a taste for a bit of the fantastical in my reading!

The best werewolf/billionaire series of stories i know is called Twist of fate series by C.R Gangell on Wattpad, if i remember correctly there are 9 books in the series and skillfully bizarre would be an accurate description in my opinion.

I seem to remember GMW wrote one of those - https://storiesonline.net/s/54247/kennedy (a Buffy fanfic, vamps and not werewolves).

Blowing my own horn, my MC bets on a series of 'sure win' sports games. The story isn't (so far) much about money - at all - but it's there, lurking, and there'll be more progress towards 'sure win' investments in the future.

My version of 'grounded' protagonist suffers in this regard from neither having been a 'sports guy' nor a 'business guy' in high school. The better bets for him are a few years off - but, in 1982, it's a pain in the butt for a minor to get into the stock market anyway. Betting, being illegal anyway, is easier :)

While I'd recommend your story, as a well written DoOver with interesting characters, it really doesn't fit the requested subject. Both because how little a role money plays in it, and because the MC doesn't start off with a lot of money

It doesn't meet the OP's request at all - totally agree. However, junjunjey sent the discuss off onto a 'sure-win' tangent, and it somewhat counts there (and will likely count more and more over time).

I wouldn't have replied to the OP; it was the change of focus that was worth a comment.

There's always Doing it all Over by Al Steiner, where the MC does well enough that he gets investigated by the SEC.
